The Tegeler Magnetismus 2 is a versatile stereo analogue processor designed to add punch, cohesion and character to drums, synths, guitars, stems and full mixes. Combining a flexible VCA compressor with a unique transient shaping stage, it gives you control over both dynamics and envelope in a way that feels musical, tactile and unmistakably analogue.
At the front of the signal path is a powerful VCA compressor, ideal for tightening peaks, adding energy and helping elements sit together in a mix. With adjustable threshold, timing, ratio and make-up gain, the Magnetismus 2 can move from subtle bus compression to more obvious control and impact. It works beautifully on stereo sources, drum buses, synths and mix bus material where you want glue without flattening the life out of the performance.
The transient shaper is what gives Magnetismus 2 its distinctive personality. Rather than simply making transients louder or softer, it rounds and shapes them in a way that is reminiscent of tape saturation. This helps sharp, spiky sounds feel more controlled and integrated, while adding thickness, density and a more finished analogue feel.
Three Flux Modes — Eisen, Kobalt and Nickel — provide different flavours of transient behaviour and saturation character. These modes are designed to emulate the effect of different tape materials, giving you a choice of tonal responses depending on how much bite, roundness or density you want from the source. The Intensity control then lets you decide how much of this processing is applied, from subtle smoothing to more dramatic transformation.
The output transformer stage adds a further layer of analogue weight and punch, making the Magnetismus 2 especially useful when a sound needs more size, authority or attitude. Used gently, it can bring drums, synths and mixes together with a polished, tape-like finish. Pushed harder, it becomes a creative sound design tool capable of smashing, thickening and reshaping audio in a much more aggressive way.
Whether used as a drum processor, stereo bus compressor, mastering tool or creative saturation and transient-shaping box, the Tegeler Magnetismus 2 is built for engineers who want analogue control with real character.
