The Tegeler Creme RC brings together the sound of high-quality analogue mix bus processing with the convenience of modern digital control. Based on Tegeler’s acclaimed Creme design, it combines a smooth passive Pultec-style equaliser with a musical VCA bus compressor, giving you a powerful stereo processor for adding polish, weight, glue and refinement to mixes, masters and stems.
Where the Creme RC takes things further is in its recall and automation workflow. Every control is fitted with a servomotor, allowing the unit to be controlled directly from the front panel, via its internal web server, or from a DAW plug-in. Connect the Creme RC to your computer over Ethernet, open your session, and the hardware can recall its saved settings automatically. For hybrid studios, this removes one of the biggest frustrations of analogue hardware: manually documenting and recreating settings when returning to a project.
The EQ section is based on the classic Pultec principle, offering broad, musical tone shaping rather than surgical correction. The low-frequency boost adds size, punch and foundation, while the high-frequency boost brings openness, sheen and air without becoming harsh. With carefully chosen frequency points and stepped level control, it is ideal for subtle mix bus enhancement and repeatable mastering decisions.
The compressor section provides classic stereo bus control, from gentle glue through to more obvious punch and movement. With selectable attack, release and ratio settings, plus a side-chain low-cut filter, the Creme RC can tighten the low end, stabilise a mix and help elements sit together while keeping the overall sound open and musical. Tegeler’s additional Creme Mode offers a faster, more energetic release character, making it especially useful for modern productions where you want more movement, impact and excitement.
The ability to switch the order of the EQ and compressor adds further flexibility. Shape the tone before compression for a more reactive, glued sound, or compress first and use the EQ afterwards to add final weight and shine. Whether used across a stereo mix, a mastering chain, drum bus, instrument stem or full production, the Creme RC is built for engineers who want real analogue tone without giving up the speed and recall of an in-the-box workflow.
