The all new Sling-Shock is a revolutionary departure from traditional shock mount designs. We`ve done away with the rubberised parts and elastic cords, producing a durable shock mount that gives superior isolation from vibrations.
In the Royer tradition, the Sling-Shock is hand-built in their Burbank, CA facility using only the finest materials.
Our proprietary system of non-resonant nylon cable and damped steel springs acts to isolate the microphone from vibrations induced from the microphone stand. These vibrations can appear as rumble and/or low-grade noises which create disturbances across the bandwidth, from low end thumps to harmonic disturbances at different frequencies. The Sling-Shock`s superior vibration-reduction capabilities and lack of self-resonance allow engineers to capture performances free of vibration-related interference across the bandwidth.
The Sling-Shock RSM-SS1 is sized to fit Royer`s 1-inch diameter R-121, R-122, R-122V, SF-1 and SF-12 ribbon microphones. Any cylindrical microphone measuring approximately one inch in diameter (+/- 1/8 inch) will work with the model RSM-SS1.
A European stand-adapter is included where applicable, allowing the Sling-Shock to be fitted to European specification microphone stands.
Low-level vibrations can be transferred through the mic cable and into the microphone. Incorporated into the sling-shock`s design is a microphone cable clip. This feature is highly effective at further reducing vibrations from being coupled to the microphone through the microphone`s cable.
UK Mainland – Orders over £99 qualify for FREE standard shipping (1-3 working days) We also offer a range of chargeable express shipping options for next working day, pre 12pm, pre 10.30am, Saturday deliveries and deliveries on a specific date. Our main UK courier is DPD.
UK Non Mainland – Not eligible for free shipping. These areas include (but are not limited to) Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Jersey, Guernsey, Northern Ireland, Orkney, Scottish Highlands and Shetland. Shipping costs for these ares will be calculated at checkout.
International/Export – Delivery charges will be calculated at checkout. All orders that are in stock we aim to dispatch from our warehouse within 48 hours. We ship all orders outside of the UK, NI, Isle of Man, Channel Islands via Fedex. All prices and delivery charges are exclusive of VAT for export. The customer is responsible to pay for any additional duties and charges.
