Elevated Class A Design Maintaining the acclaimed class-A topology of the classic 1073®, the 1073SPX incorporates modern production techniques while upholding the cherished discrete audio path crafted through through-hole methods. Marinair® transformers and class-A transistor-based amplifiers play a pivotal role.
Unique 1073® Gain Control With a distinctive 5dB stepped Elma switch, precise gain levels are achievable across the range. A mic/line switch is unnecessary as the preamp and input are automatically selected by the pot itself. The two independent transistor-based preamplifiers offer three distinct gain stages for DI, line input, or microphone signals.
High Output & Harmonic Richness Delivering up to 80dB of microphone gain, the 1073® preamp merges multiple gain stages to provide the sought-after musical drive and harmonic richness.
Effortless Instrument DI Conveniently positioned on the front panel, the dedicated instrument DI input expedites the connection and recording of various instruments without the hassle of rewiring microphone cables.
Versatile Front and Rear Inputs With individual front and rear input switching, the 1073SPX effortlessly integrates into your studio setup. It can be used as an insert, connected through a patch bay, or directly recorded into using the switchable front combi-connector.
Inductor-Based Musical EQ Crafted for musicality, the three-band inductor-based EQ is meticulously designed, with carefully chosen frequency points enhancing sound quality across the frequency spectrum. Hand-wound custom inductors made in the UK, unique to Neve, go beyond the stringent 1073® specifications.
Distinctive Insert Loop Enhance your channel strip with the 1073`s balanced, +4dBu insert send/return loop, providing flexibility with a switchable pre/post EQ insertion point for seamless integration with outboard processors.
Precise Rotary Output Fader The rotary level pot serves as your primary channel fader, offering a range from -inf to +5, allowing precise adjustments when routing your recording signal back into the DAW.
Enhanced Metering Control Featuring a 7-stage LED meter with PPM ballistics, the 1073SPX ensures precise monitoring. The LED meter displays signals between -33dB to +24dB across various points in the signal chain, offering comprehensive control over signal flow within the unit.

UK Non Mainland – Not eligible for free shipping. These areas include (but are not limited to) Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Jersey, Guernsey, Northern Ireland, Orkney, Scottish Highlands and Shetland. Shipping costs for these ares will be calculated at checkout.
International/Export – Delivery charges will be calculated at checkout. All orders that are in stock we aim to dispatch from our warehouse within 48 hours. We ship all orders outside of the UK, NI, Isle of Man, Channel Islands via Fedex. All prices and delivery charges are exclusive of VAT for export. The customer is responsible to pay for any additional duties and charges.
