The Royer R-12 Matched Pair brings the clarity, depth, and legendary ribbon tone of the R-12 into the world of precision stereo recording. Whether you`re capturing drum overheads, string sections, choirs, or acoustic guitar, these matched microphones ensure impeccable stereo imaging with consistent frequency response and output sensitivity across both units.
Each R-12 features the same 2.5-micron ribbon element used in Royer’s iconic R-121, providing the unmistakable smooth top end and natural midrange Royer ribbons are known for—now with active electronics that deliver a stronger output and optimal impedance loading, ensuring consistency regardless of preamp choice.
With a massive SPL capability of 160dB @ 1kHz, a switchable -15dB pad, and an onboard high-pass filter, the R-12 matched pair is ready for high-energy sources like drums and amps, while remaining sensitive and refined enough for vocals, acoustic instruments, and room mic duties. The microphones are internally shock-mounted with triple-layer wind protection to reduce handling noise and plosives, making them equally reliable in studio or stage environments.
Each matched pair is hand-selected and tested to ensure minimal variance, providing a true stereo experience with the warmth, accuracy, and realism that only Royer ribbons can deliver.

UK Mainland – Orders over £99 qualify for FREE standard shipping (1-3 working days) We also offer a range of chargeable express shipping options for next working day, pre 12pm, pre 10.30am, Saturday deliveries and deliveries on a specific date. Our main UK courier is DPD.
UK Non Mainland – Not eligible for free shipping. These areas include (but are not limited to) Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Jersey, Guernsey, Northern Ireland, Orkney, Scottish Highlands and Shetland. Shipping costs for these ares will be calculated at checkout.
International/Export – Delivery charges will be calculated at checkout. All orders that are in stock we aim to dispatch from our warehouse within 48 hours. We ship all orders outside of the UK, NI, Isle of Man, Channel Islands via Fedex. All prices and delivery charges are exclusive of VAT for export.
