The multiband compression – split into low, mid, and side bands—allows for detailed control of each frequency range, letting you shape your sound with precision.

The Soft Clipper derived from our legendary alpha compressor drives the signal harder without causing clipping external AD converters.

Its high-end analog meters provide clear feedback on signal levels, compression, and clipping for each band.

xmax is a powerful tool not only on the masterbus. No matter which stereo bus you want to use xmax on, you always have full control over your dynamics.

A focused and powerful low end can easily be achieved via the low band. Tight and punchy snare hits or upfront vocal tracks are no problem with the mid band. If you want to widen the stereo field of guitars or your room sound, simply turn the side band gain control to get more stereo width.

As you can see, with xmax a good result is possible in just a few seconds. If you are looking for the ultimate analog mix glue, xmax is your go-to tool!

Shape your Tone.
With Smart Global Release Control, adjusting compression behavior across all bands is quick and intuitive. The VariLink function lets you link low, mid, and side bands with full flexibility, offering a tailored compression response.

The alternative Punch setting boosts compression, while the side band mono-maker ensures a solid, centered low end. The Tone Control features an easy-to-use one-knob shelving EQ to shape the overall tone.

The variable crossover frequency gives you additional control over the low-end, ensuring tight and focused bass.

Studio, Session or Live?
Perfect for both studio and live applications, xmax keeps dynamic levels in check, whether you’re an engineer recording a band, mixing a track, mastering an album or managing a live performance.

The ultraportable qube version offers the same professional sound quality as the 19“ rack version or the 500 Series module. Its compact form factor is ideal for session studios, mobile setups or live shows.

1..2..3 compressors in one unit!
xmax utilizes advanced Mid-Side technology to encode your incoming stereo signal into Mid and Side signals. The Mid signal is further split into Low and Mid band, allowing for three independent compressors in one unit. After processing, the signal passes through a High-Shelf Filter for rich analog high-end, is decoded back to stereo, followed by a Soft Clipper and Output Control. Everything you need for a record-ready sound without clipping your external AD converters. xmax delivers exceptional clarity, punch, and versatility in every application.

UK Mainland – Orders over £99 qualify for FREE standard shipping (1-3 working days) We also offer a range of chargeable express shipping options for next working day, pre 12pm, pre 10.30am, Saturday deliveries and deliveries on a specific date. Our main UK courier is DPD.

UK Non Mainland – Not eligible for free shipping. These areas include (but are not limited to) Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Jersey, Guernsey, Northern Ireland, Orkney, Scottish Highlands and Shetland. Shipping costs for these ares will be calculated at checkout.

International/Export – Delivery charges will be calculated at checkout. All orders that are in stock we aim to dispatch from our warehouse within 48 hours. We ship all orders outside of the UK, NI, Isle of Man, Channel Islands via Fedex. All prices and delivery charges are exclusive of VAT for export. The customer is responsible to pay for any additional duties and charges.
