This new addition brings the same exceptional audio quality and design finesse found in its predecessor, now in a more compact form and at an even more accessible price point.
The renowned 3-way monitor that redefined its class is now accompanied by the Footprint02, a smaller yet equally potent active nearfield speaker. Delivering uncompromising sound performance and design elements akin to the Footprint01, the Footprint02 is a true embodiment of our signature Barefoot excellence. These two models not only share a visual resemblance and top-notch quality, but also incorporate the same groundbreaking Barefoot signature features, including the Dual-Force™ technology with opposing subwoofers, dual ring radiator tweeter, and the transformative Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation™ (MEME) technology – a hallmark of our flagship MicroMain and MiniMain series.
Design-wise, the Footprint02 mirrors its elder sibling. It features side-mounted dual opposing paper cone subwoofers, accompanied by a dual ring radiator tweeter and an aluminum cone midrange driver set within an aluminum front sub baffle. The sleek, rounded corners and edges minimize cabinet diffraction, while the familiar front baffle configuration – with the tweeter placed below the midrange woofer – ensures optimal acoustic focus at the center of the cabinet.
Under the hood, the Footprint02 holds nearly identical specifications. With 2-way DSP crossover feeds and dual Class D amplifier modules, perfectly suited for its more compact cabinet size (approximately 60% of the Footprint01`s volume), the Footprint02 shines with dual opposing 6.5-inch subwoofers that extend bass response to impressive depths. Despite its smaller stature, the Footprint02 encompasses all the quintessential attributes of a Barefoot Sound speaker: remarkable sound quality, immersive 3-D imaging, and an expansive dynamic range.
