Ganymede
The newest (and smallest) addition to the range, Ganymede sports a 7” woofer and produces a +/-1db frequency response down to 45hz, with useable low end down to 38hz. Ideal for nearfield duties or as satellite speakers in a Dolby Atmos setup.
Pulsar
Designed primarily for nearfield and midfield duties (or perfect as a main monitor in a bedroom-sized studio!) with a frequency response of +/-1db from 35hz-30khz and usable down to 28hz, Pulsar is a truly formidable studio monitor that edges out the competition with total accuracy and perfect representation of the subject material.
Quasar
Quasar is the flagship product in the range, boasting a +/-1dB frequency response down to 29hz, useable down to 24hz and a the most extreme SPL levels. Despite being designed for midfield and main monitor duties, due to the coaxial design (as deployed in all Ex Machina products) you can sit as close as 12 inches from the product and still enjoy perfect recreation of sound from the monitor!
Making guesswork a thing of the past.
Every single component of their speaker product is painstakingly chosen to be the best possible option for it’s purpose, down to using aviation-class materials; the composite used in their tweeter and mid-range driver is also used in aircraft fuselage and wings due to its incredible stiffness and low-mass properties.
Another focus of their products is to achieve incredible phase accuracy. It is arguably a more important specification to achieve realistic sound recreation than frequency response, and yet most manufacturers fail to even mention this important statistic in their documentation. Sure, frequency response is still important, and the Ex Machina products are no slouch in this department, reporting +/- 1dB flatness throughout their entire range, but what really stands out when you sit in front of their studio monitors is the incredible realism produced by the culmination of all the elements that come together to produce near-perfect phase accuracy, reported as +/- 15° up to 80hz, and +/- 5° from 80hz upwards.
Quite simply, this specification is staggering to achieve, and results in a phantom centre that will have your mind and ears believing there is a third speaker directly in front of you.
