Product overview

The Zoom SSH-6 combines a directional centre microphone with a side microphone, letting you balance a focused subject against the surrounding atmosphere. It is useful for dialogue and location sound where you want to keep the voice clear but retain a sense of the place.

The mid-side arrangement lets you control stereo width, including adjusting it later when recording an appropriate raw M-S signal. A hairy windscreen is included for outdoor use. This is the original-system SSH-6, for compatible older Zoom hosts; essential/studio recorders require the appropriate newer capsule.
