Product overview
Convenient rack power with a clear view of the incoming voltage
The Furman PL-PLUS C E combines 10A power conditioning, eleven IEC outlets and rack lighting with a front-panel LED voltmeter. It is a practical choice for a studio or touring rack when you want to turn several pieces of gear on from one switch and keep an eye on the mains supply.
Switch your equipment from the front of the rack
Ten rear outlets accommodate your regular rack equipment, while the front convenience outlet makes a temporary connection easy to reach. With compatible gear left ready to power up, the Furman's master switch handles the group together, saving you from finding individual switches at the back of the rack.
The outlets switch simultaneously. Keep monitors or power amplifiers last on and first off using their own controls, or choose a sequencer if you want an automatic start-up order. Computers and equipment that require a shutdown routine should complete that routine before their mains power is removed.
Spot voltage changes at a glance
The 20-segment, three-colour LED meter displays incoming AC voltage in 2V steps. It is useful for noticing a supply that is running unusually high or low, or changes that appear as other equipment is switched on at a venue. The display is easy to scan from across a rack without reaching for a separate meter.
This is voltage monitoring: the PL-PLUS C E does not actively correct a low or high supply. Furman’s P-1400 AR E adds that regulation function where voltage variation is the issue you need to address.
Filtering and protection for a shared electrical supply
LiFT filters high-frequency noise carried on the mains, including interference from switching supplies and other electrical equipment. Isolated outlet banks help limit noise travelling between connected components. This can be useful when power-borne interference affects a recording or live rig; hum caused by ground loops or audio cabling requires attention to those connections.
SMP suppresses transient surges and spikes, while EVS disconnects the outlets when a sustained excessive mains voltage is detected. Two dimmable, retractable LED lamps make rack controls easier to see, and a rear BNC socket supports an optional gooseneck lamp for the cabling side.
The PL-PLUS C E suits racks that need convenient switching, filtering, protection and visible voltage monitoring. It has no battery backup, so it will not keep equipment running through a power cut.
