Analogue processing. Digitally controlled.
Real Neve sound.
Instant recall.
The circuitry you want to hear.
The freedom to pick up where you left off.
Eight channels of authentic Neve processing, controlled from your session and ready for the studio you already have.
Discover Elements

01 / Digital control & instant recall
Find the sound.
Keep the feeling.
The mix is working. The client wants one more change. Open the session and return to your Elements settings, ready to carry on.
The Element Control Plugin puts the real analogue hardware inside your DAW workflow. Adjust the circuitry from the listening position, automate it through the arrangement and recall its settings instantly with the session.
Snapshots let you explore another direction. Undo brings you back. And when you want to work outside the DAW, the standalone Neve Elements App gives you the same graphical control.
The software remembers.
The Neve circuitry makes the sound.
The connected hardware does the audio processing.
02 / Standalone workflow
Your studio.
A new Element.
Bring Neve analogue processing into the system you already know.
8 channels per unit / 2U rack / No Neve console requiredStart with your audio interface. Send a track out to Elements, shape it through the analogue circuitry and bring it back into your mix.
Or make Elements part of an existing console, patchbay or recording chain. Each unit’s intelligent insert matrix lets you connect other outboard and control where its insert sits in the signal path.
Begin with the processing you need today. One unit gives you eight channels; add more EQ or dynamics as your work grows.
Planning your connections
Audio I/O & cabling
For eight simultaneous DAW hardware paths, allow eight spare analogue line outputs and eight spare line inputs, plus suitable D-sub audio cabling and Ethernet control. A stereo source uses two audio channels.
Routing & timing
An eight-channel EQ followed by an eight-channel dynamics unit gives eight paths with both processes. Separate paths need their own I/O. Use your DAW’s external-hardware delay compensation, and print processed audio when the project needs to travel without the rack.
Recall & patching
Elements recall does not restore manual patching or the controls on conventional external outboard. Keep those settings documented, and confirm cabling, software compatibility and stereo-link options for your chosen system.
03 / Console workflow
Bring it all
to the desk.
The same Elements processors. The same Neve circuitry. With the 8424E, the controls come to your fingertips and the studio comes together around the console.

Stay in the sweet spot.
Reach for the E-Controller’s four touch-sensitive encoders while the Upstand touchscreen shows the processor you are working on. Your Elements units connect through analogue insert send and return paths, with control available from the console, plug-in or app.
Choose EQ and dynamics for the channels that matter now, then expand. The 8424E gives you a console-centred way to work with the Elements system you build around it.
Already own an 8424? Neve offers an upgrade path using the E-Controller, Upstand Screen and software. Your existing desk can be the foundation.

The console provides 24 channels, four mono groups and 48-input mix capability, with a Marinair transformer-coupled stereo mix bus derived from Neve’s 80-series consoles. The E-Controller also includes two digitally controlled VCA compressors for use through the desk’s Smart Routing facilities.
Elements EQ and dynamics processors are external options, so you specify the types and channel coverage you need. Console reset, automatic Elements recall and the recall of any other outboard are separate parts of the complete studio workflow.
