Product overview

The Zoom ECM-3 separates a compatible microphone capsule from its recorder, letting microphone placement and control access be decided independently. Put the capsule near the source or on a boom while keeping the recorder where you can monitor and adjust it.

The three-metre cable includes mounting options for camera and support use. It works with the original Zoom interchangeable capsule connection, not the newer Capsule System 3.0 used by essential/studio models. Capsule and recorder are sold separately.
