Zahl IM1 M/S Insert Master

The Zahl IM1 M/S Insert Master offers advanced functionality to dial in the ideal level when using a send and return system or expanding the sound with the Mid/Side matrix.

The top section allows you to adjust the left/right balance coming into the IM1 from the source, then adjust the proper input level to the insert send and return or mid/side matrix.

The second section down allows you to adjust the send level to external gear according to the input level you’ve set, as well as engage the mid/side matrix. You can also choose to true bypass the channel insert and mid/side matrix altogether. The return ratio allows you to blend between the original dry signal and the insert, providing parallel compression directly in the IM1 without any external patching. The switch on the far right side gives the option to switch between line level inputs or two different microphone impedances.

The third section down contains the controls for the mid/side matrix, with options for choosing just the mid signal, side signal or a blend of the two. The dial on the right side adjusts the stereo width from mono to an ultra-wide stereo image.

Lastly, a true bypass switch for taking the IM1 out of the chain completely - a left/right balance that is post all the adjustments made within the IM1 and an output control to send the proper level to your DAW or Tape Machine.
