The WesAudio ng500 Mixing Bundle pairs four stereo analogue processors with CALYPSO conversion and the TITAN chassis. Each system is configured, assembled and tested at the factory, ready to become part of your hybrid studio.

01 / _RHEA

Valve weight. Smooth control.

RHEA brings true stereo vari-mu compression to the rack. Its valve gain-reduction circuit and interstage Carnhill transformers offer a rich, rounded character for stems and the mix bus. Blend the compressed signal with the Mix control, explore the Medium and High THD settings, and use the 60, 90 or 150 Hz sidechain filter to shape how the compressor responds to bass.

02 / _DIONE

Punch, cohesion and VCA glue.

DIONE provides the familiar response of a stereo VCA bus compressor, with ratios from gentle 1.5:1 and 2:1 through to 4:1 and 10:1. Use it to bring a drum bus together or add cohesion across a mix. Parallel blending, THD options and high-pass or tilt sidechain filters give you room to shape the result.

03 / _PROMETHEUS

Passive EQ with classic colour.

PROMETHEUS uses a Pultec-style passive inductor design for musical low-end shaping and high-frequency lift. Separate boost and cut controls, adjustable harmonic colour and +24 dBu headroom make it a versatile way to add body, openness and tonal balance. Stereo, dual-mono and Mid/Side modes let you work across a mix or address its channels individually.

04 / _HYPERION

Four bands of parametric control.

HYPERION gives you four bands per channel, selectable ±5 dB or ±15 dB gain ranges, and a high-pass filter with 6 or 12 dB/octave slopes. Individual band bypass makes comparisons straightforward, while stereo, dual-mono and Mid/Side operation give you precise control over tonal balance and the relationship between the centre and sides of a mix.

BUILT AROUND YOUR WORKFLOW

Hardware you can return to.

Adjust the processors from their front panels or use the dedicated WesAudio plug-ins to control settings, save them with your session and automate changes through a song. The EQ and compression take place in analogue circuitry; the software provides control and recall.

TITAN brings the ng500 modules together over one USB or Ethernet control connection. Its 10-slot chassis includes a substantial external linear power supply and an Internal Audio Connector that links CALYPSO to the processing modules inside the rack.

05 / _CALYPSO + 06 / _TITAN

Connect the rack. Keep the workflow.

CALYPSO provides eight channels of AD/DA conversion at 24-bit resolution, with support for 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz sample rates. ADAT connectivity and TITAN’s internal audio connection let you access the processors as hardware inserts without running a separate analogue cable to every module. Word clock input and output support external synchronisation.

Planning your connections

For the ADAT workflow, connect CALYPSO to a compatible audio interface with suitable ADAT inputs and outputs. USB or Ethernet handles remote control and recall; audio travels through the ADAT connection. ADAT port requirements depend on your sample rate. The TITAN chassis and its power supply are already included.
