Product overview

The Trinnov OPT2-NOVA adds two licensed Optimizer channels to an existing NOVA processor. Use it to expand your monitoring setup or reach the licence level needed for NOVA's twelve-channel Immersive mode.

Choose the right number of licences

Each purchase supplies one two-channel expansion licence. To reach eight licensed channels and unlock up to twelve optimised channels in Immersive mode, a NOVA with two channels needs three licences, a four-channel NOVA needs two, and a six-channel NOVA needs one.

Eight licensed channels support up to eight optimised channels in standard mode. With software version 2.1.3 or later, they also unlock up to twelve optimised channels in Immersive mode for layouts up to 7.1.4. No further per-channel licences are required beyond eight for this mode.

Immersive mode requirements

Immersive mode requires Dante audio inputs, operates at up to 48 kHz and supports one speaker set. A DAW or renderer must provide the discrete output channels. NOVA does not decode Dolby Atmos.

Registration and installation

This is a software licence for an existing NOVA processor; no hardware is included. Supply your NOVA serial number so the licence can be registered to the correct unit. Once registered, install it through the Trinnov desktop application. Activation requires an internet connection.

The licence is permanent and stays with the registered processor if ownership changes. It cannot be transferred to a different processor. A software update alone does not add purchased channel licences.
