TK Audio TK-Lizer 3

The TK Audio TK-lizer 3 is a mastering and mix bus equaliser designed for engineers who need smooth, musical tone shaping with precise recall and advanced stereo control. Based around the much-loved Baxandall EQ concept, the TK-lizer 3 delivers a natural and refined character that makes it ideal for subtle enhancement, broad tonal shaping and detailed mastering adjustments.

Equipped with three EQ bands, a flexible high-pass filter and full Mid/Side operation, the TK-lizer 3 gives you far more than a traditional stereo equaliser. Each of the three bands offers six carefully selected frequency points, while the low and high bands can be switched between shelving and peak modes for greater tonal flexibility. Every EQ band features stepped gain control, making it easy to return to previous settings and maintain accuracy across mixing, mastering and recall-based workflows.

The built-in Mid/Side section opens up powerful stereo processing options without requiring an external encoder or decoder. In M/S mode, you can add air and openness to the sides, tighten the stereo image, apply high-pass filtering to the side signal for cleaner low-end focus, or shape the centre elements of a mix such as kick, bass, snare, lead vocal and other centrally panned sources. The side level control also allows you to adjust stereo width directly from the unit.

A dedicated cue function lets you monitor Left, Right, Mid or Side signals independently, making it much easier to hear exactly what you are adjusting. This is especially useful when making critical mastering decisions or working with complex stereo material.

The TK-lizer 3 builds on the previous TK-lizer 2 design with updated internal circuitry and refreshed styling. New input and output circuits, revised EQ circuits for improved low and high-frequency performance, and an updated M/S circuit for better channel separation all contribute to a cleaner, more capable signal path. The new bakelite knobs and toggle switches also give the unit a more vintage-inspired appearance while retaining the precision expected in a modern mastering tool.
