TK Audio The Transformer – Analogue Harmonic Colour Processor

The TK Audio Transformer brings analogue weight, texture and punch to your recording and mixing workflow. Combining three distinct harmonic circuits with a selectable transformer-coupled Class-A stage, it offers everything from subtle enrichment to more pronounced saturation.

The TX Drive circuit adds low-frequency harmonics and a bass lift, while the passive saturation stage introduces odd harmonics, with switchable even harmonics for further tonal variation. An active germanium circuit provides another flavour of vintage colour, combining harmonic richness with a softer top end.

Gain and output trim controls let you drive the saturation and germanium stages harder while managing the processed level. The Blend control mixes this signal with the original, making it easy to balance character with clarity.

Built-in mid/side processing allows different harmonic treatments for the centre and sides of a stereo signal. The separate Class-A stage follows the mid/side section, adding punch, midrange presence and a smooth top end, with an optional HF boost for extra air.
