Product overview

TEQ is a dual-band mastering and mix bus equaliser rooted in the timeless Baxandall circuit of the 1950s, a topology revered for its smooth, musical response and natural tone shaping. Designed for engineers who value precision without sacrificing character, TEQ excels at subtle enhancement as well as more assertive tonal correction.

Each band offers ten carefully chosen frequencies, spanning from 30Hz to 720Hz on the low band and 1kHz to 24kHz on the high band. Both bands can be switched between shelf and peak operation, with a gentle Q of 0.5 that encourages broad, musical moves rather than narrow surgical cuts. Gain adjustment is exceptionally refined, starting at ultra-precise 0.25dB steps for mastering-grade accuracy, extending up to ±4dB as standard, with an additional EX mode allowing expansion up to ±8dB when more dramatic shaping is required.

TEQ also integrates high-pass and low-pass filters, each offering six frequency options. The high-pass filter removes low-end rumble, mud, and unwanted bass build-up, while the low-pass filter smooths harsh top-end and tames excessive brightness. Both filters are designed to work transparently, maintaining musical integrity while cleaning up the extremes.

A built-in Mid/Side function allows independent processing of the centre and sides of a mix, opening up powerful creative and corrective possibilities during mastering and bus processing. The cue system further enhances workflow, enabling instant monitoring of left, right, mid, or side channels to make informed decisions with confidence.

Internally, TEQ is engineered to an uncompromising standard. Gold-contact audio switches, relay-based frequency selection, no electrolytic capacitors in the audio path, and an extra-wide bandwidth design all contribute to exceptional transparency, headroom, and reliability. With its stepped rotary controls and clearly defined signal path, TEQ is a mastering-ready equaliser built for repeatability, precision, and musicality.
