The Tegeler Tube Summing Mixer is designed for engineers who love the sound of analogue console mixing but still want the flexibility, editing power and recall of a modern digital workflow. By routing multiple outputs from your audio interface into the Tube Summing Mixer, you can move the final summing stage out of the DAW and into a dedicated analogue mix bus, adding depth, dimension and musical character before capturing the stereo mix back into your system.

At the heart of the Tube Summing Mixer is a high-headroom analogue signal path, supported by active tubes and a transformer-balanced output stage. This combination gives mixes a more open, defined and spacious quality, while adding the warmth, density and subtle rounding that make analogue summing so appealing. It is not about drastically changing the mix, but about giving it a more three-dimensional feel, helping individual elements sit together in a way that feels polished and natural.

With 2 × 20 channels available, the Tube Summing Mixer offers enough input capacity for demanding sessions. You can send drums, bass, vocals, guitars, synths, effects and stems out of your DAW on separate channels, allowing them to combine in the analogue domain while retaining the convenience of digital arrangement, editing and automation. If you need even more inputs, multiple units can be cascaded to create a larger summing system or expanded surround workflow.

Connectivity is split between 2 × 16 balanced inputs via four DB25 connectors and 2 × 4 balanced TRS inputs, making the unit practical to integrate with professional converters, patchbays and studio wiring. Mono signals can be connected via the lower TRS jack and are automatically distributed to both channels, placing them in the phantom centre of the stereo image.

For repeatable mix recall, the Tube Summing Mixer uses a stepped output level switch instead of a conventional potentiometer, allowing the output to be adjusted in practical -3 dB increments. Illuminated VU meters provide clear visual feedback, while the internal mix bus offers up to +22 dBu of headroom, helping the unit handle complex, full-scale mixes without feeling restricted.
