Tegeler Audio Creme

The Tegeler Creme is designed for one of the most important positions in any studio signal chain: the stereo mix bus. Combining a passive Pultec-style equaliser with a high-quality VCA bus compressor, Creme gives you two classic mix-finishing tools in a single 2U analogue processor.

At the EQ stage, Creme focuses on the moves that matter most at the end of a mix. The passive equaliser offers smooth low-frequency weight and silky high-frequency lift, allowing you to add depth, openness and polish without overcomplicating the process. With stepped controls and carefully chosen frequency points, it is ideal for subtle enhancement, accurate recall and reliable stereo operation.

The compressor section is built for everything from gentle glue to more obvious rhythmic movement. With selectable ratios, attack and release times, plus a side-chain low-cut filter, the Creme can tighten the low end, bring elements together and add energy without sacrificing clarity. The additional 1.5:1 ratio makes it especially useful for subtle mix bus compression, while higher ratios allow for more assertive control when required.

A particularly useful feature is the ability to switch the order of the EQ and compressor, letting you decide whether you want to shape the signal before compression or polish it afterwards. This makes the Creme equally at home on the mix bus, in a mastering chain, across stems or anywhere you want controlled dynamics and elegant analogue tone in one unit.
