Included artist material also gives you something substantial to explore when learning the instrument.

The onboard subtractive synth engine adds another source of sound beyond the sample library. Use its bass and synthesiser presets as the foundation of a part, then shape the result within your pattern. Pressure-sensitive dub sirens provide a more explicitly performative element: they respond to touch and can become accents, transitions or the central voice of a breakdown. This combination of sampled and synthesised material makes RIDDIM useful for both tightly structured writing and looser improvisation.

The stereo input lets you add material from other instruments or line-level sources, while the built-in microphone offers a quick route for capturing ideas. Connect a mixer or recording system through the stereo output, and use MIDI or sync to integrate compatible external equipment. USB-C supports a computer-connected workflow as well as powering the unit.

Current OS 2.5 adds USB audio recording and monitoring, reverse playback, adjustable recording sample rates and refinements to chopping and timestretching. Firmware-dependent features require the relevant update. Four AAA batteries provide an alternative for sessions away from a powered desk, and the compact layout makes RIDDIM easy to bring into an existing hardware setup.
