Product overview

Soundtoys Tremolator 5

Give sustained sounds a rhythmic life.

Tremolator moves from the rounded pulse of classic guitar amplifiers and electric pianos to tightly chopped electronic rhythms. Its amplitude modulation can run freely, lock to tempo or respond to the way a part is played.

Sound and workflow

What it brings to your session.

Classic tremolo character

Hardware-inspired waveshapes and analogue colour create familiar, flowing modulation for guitar, keys and other sustained sources.

Build a gate pattern

Sharper waveforms turn Tremolator into a rhythmic gate. The Rhythm Editor adds custom steps, accents, swing and shuffle.

Follow the dynamics

Use the incoming level to vary speed or depth. A louder phrase can intensify the effect, while a fading chord can reveal a different movement.
