Product overview

Soundtoys SuperPlate 5

Five plate characters, with room to shape the tail.

SuperPlate brings together five classic plate-reverb characters with modern control over timing, colour and decay. Move from a compact vocal space to a long, modulated wash, then shape the result around the arrangement.

Sound and workflow

What it brings to your session.

Choose the plate and preamp

Models inspired by the EMT 140, EMT 240, Audicon, Stocktronics RX4000 and EcoPlate III pair with Tube, Solid-State or Clean preamp modes.

Let the decay breathe

Auto-Decay shortens the tail when the input crosses a threshold, helping keep new notes clear. Decay can also extend indefinitely for sustained textures.

Sculpt the return

Pre-delay, modulation, high- and low-cut filters and two parametric EQ bands refine the reverb. Little Plate is included for a simpler plate workflow.
