Add the weight and colour of a tube input stage.

Radiator models the character of the Altec 1567A tube mixer, bringing warm drive and straightforward tone shaping to individual tracks and buses. Use it to thicken bass, roughen drums or give a vocal a more textured edge.

Two stages of character

Input and output amplification contribute their own saturation, so changing their balance alters the result as well as the level.

Simple, useful tone controls

Bass and treble controls shape the colour. The Mic/Line switch changes transformer loading, while switchable noise lets you choose how much vintage behaviour to retain.

Blend in the warmth

A Mix control supports parallel processing. Little Radiator, based on the Altec 1566A preamp, is included for a simpler take on tube colour.

Licence: Full software licence, supplied electronically. No physical shipment.
Activation: Internet connection required for activation. Computer authorisation or an iLok USB key; a hardware dongle is optional.
