Soundtoys MicroShift 5

Give a focused part a wider presence.

MicroShift combines small pitch changes with a varying delay to create stereo width. It is a quick way to spread backing vocals, enlarge a synth or give a lead part more space, with three characters inspired by classic studio pitch-shifting hardware.

Three distinct widening styles

Select a character influenced by the Eventide H3000 and AMS DMX 15-80s, including the quirks and colour of those approaches.

Tune the spread

Detune and Delay controls adjust the pitch and timing components, letting you find the balance between subtle thickening and a more obvious effect.

Keep the low end focused

The Focus control limits widening in the lower frequencies. Little MicroShift is also included for quick results from a reduced control set.

Compatibility and activation

Ready for your studio.

Platforms: macOS 10.15 or later; Windows 10 or later. Apple Silicon supported; Windows ARM is not supported.
Formats: AAX Native, AAX AudioSuite, Audio Units, VST 2 and VST 3; 64-bit only.
Sample rates: 44.1–192 kHz.
Licence: Full software licence, supplied electronically. No physical shipment.
Activation: Internet connection required for activation. Computer authorisation or an iLok USB key; a hardware dongle is optional.
