Product overview

Soundtoys Little AlterBoy 5

Give a vocal a different identity.

Little AlterBoy reshapes monophonic vocals with independent pitch and formant controls. Move from a deeper or lighter vocal character to hard-tuned and robotic effects, then add drive to make the result sit boldly in the production.

Sound and workflow

What it brings to your session.

Pitch and character together

Change the note, the vocal resonance or both. The Mix control blends the processed voice with the original for doubling and harmony effects.

Perform the melody

Robot mode fixes the voice to a pitch, while MIDI control opens up playable, vocoder-like melodic effects in a compatible DAW workflow.

Add a little edge

A tube-drive model drawn from Decapitator adds saturation after the transformation, from subtle warmth to a more pronounced texture.
