Product overview

Soundtoys Devil-Loc Deluxe 5

Make room microphones sound larger than the room.

Devil-Loc Deluxe turns the unruly character of the vintage Level-Loc into a controllable creative effect. Heavy compression and gritty distortion can transform drums, room microphones and loops, while parallel blending lets you keep the original attack in the mix.

Sound and workflow

What it brings to your session.

Compression with attitude

Push the effect for pumping, crushed ambience and pronounced sustain. This is a character processor for adding energy and texture.

Control the darkness and recovery

The Darkness control softens the high-frequency edge, and selectable fast or slow release changes how the effect moves between hits.

Blend without extra routing

The Mix knob balances processed and dry sound in the plug-in. The simpler two-control Devil-Loc is also included.
