Royer Labs R-121 (Matched Pair)

The Royer R-121 Matched Pair comprises two meticulously matched R-121 ribbon microphones, each hand-selected to ensure consistent performance and stereo imaging. These microphones are renowned for their natural, warm tone and exceptional durability, making them ideal for a wide range of recording applications.

Each R-121 features a 2.5-micron aluminum ribbon element and a figure-8 polar pattern, capturing sound with remarkable accuracy and depth. The patented offset-ribbon design positions the ribbon element closer to the front of the microphone, allowing for higher SPL handling on the front side and a slightly brighter response on the rear, providing versatility in tonal characteristics.

With the capability to handle SPLs exceeding 135 dB (at 20Hz!), these microphones excel in capturing loud sound sources without distortion.
