PMC 6-XBD System. The PMC 6 XBD brings the main monitor and PMC 8 Sub together through dedicated DSP. Hear deeper into the low end and keep complex, dynamic material in focus with a coordinated twin-cabinet system.

01 / ATL & LAMINAIR

Low end you can work with.

Add one PMC 8 Sub per monitor and select XBD mode to extend the system to 25 Hz. The sub takes over the lowest frequencies, reducing the workload on the PMC 6 bass/mid driver and creating a three-way system with greater headroom.

02 / IMAGING & DETAIL

A clear picture of your mix.

The 1-inch soft-dome tweeter and shallow waveguide spread high frequencies evenly across the listening area. Centre vocals, reverb tails and small balance changes stay easy to follow as you work. Automatic portrait/landscape crossover correction gives you useful flexibility when positioning the cabinets.

03 / SOUNDALIGN & CONNECTIVITY

Set up for your room.

Adjust level, EQ, delay and polarity from the rear-panel controls or SoundAlign in a web browser over a wired network. Analogue and AES3 inputs support different studio signal paths; the digital through output makes onward connection straightforward. Boundary and parametric EQ give you tools to refine the response once the speakers are correctly positioned.

04 / YOUR XBD CONFIGURATION

Two cabinets. One reference.

Feed the audio signal into the PMC 6, then connect its AES3 digital through output to the PMC 8 Sub. Link the cabinets over the network and select XBD mode. Their DSP settings coordinate the crossover and the cabinets appear as one system in SoundAlign.
