Product overview
The Neve StarNet ADA24 is a mastering-grade 24×24 analogue AD/DA converter designed to bring uncompromising Neve sound quality directly onto a Dante™ audio-over-IP network. Built for modern professional studios, broadcast facilities, live sound systems, and post-production environments, the ADA24 delivers exceptional transparency, precision, and reliability at scale.
Developed in close collaboration with engineers from leading studios worldwide, the ADA24 has been refined through extensive blind listening tests and meticulous circuit optimisation. The result is a converter that stays sonically invisible while preserving depth, detail, and dynamic integrity across every channel.
Supporting 32-bit integer resolution and sample rates up to 192 kHz, the ADA24 achieves a dynamic range of over 119 dBFS on analogue-to-digital conversion and 122 dBFS on digital-to-analogue conversion. Selectable analogue headroom options of +18, +24, or +26 dBu allow seamless integration with everything from modern hybrid workflows to classic large-format analogue consoles.
The analogue output stages are derived from Neve’s flagship 88RS console technology, providing exceptional bandwidth, extremely low noise, and the ability to drive long cable runs without degradation. Balanced DB25 connections make the ADA24 ideal for patchbays, summing mixers, and outboard-heavy setups.
Precision clocking is handled by a low-drift crystal oscillator and high-performance PLL, ensuring ultra-low jitter and rock-solid synchronisation. The ADA24 can function confidently as a system master clock, with word clock I/O provided on 75 Ω BNC connections.
For mission-critical environments, dual Dante Ethernet ports support Primary and Secondary redundancy or switched daisy-chaining, ensuring uninterrupted audio even in the event of a network fault. Front-panel OLED metering and status display provide clear system visibility, while remote output attenuation and muting can be managed via the ADA24 Remote App to protect speakers and downstream equipment.
Engineered for long-term reliability, the ADA24 uses an external universal-voltage power supply and controlled airflow for stable operation in demanding rack installations.
