This pre-owned Neve 8816 includes the ADC option pre-installed. The converter is part of this listing, giving you both analogue mix outputs and digital output facilities from the same 2U rack unit.

Neve summing at the heart of your studio

The 8816 combines 16 balanced line inputs with an active summing circuit and dual Marinair transformers on the stereo bus. Individual level and pan controls let you build your balance outside the DAW, with channel cut, solo and cue functions close to hand. Each channel offers up to 15dB of gain.

The ADC upgrade, already fitted

The installed stereo A/D card supports PCM sample rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz, alongside DSD output. AES3 connections carry the digital mix to compatible recording equipment, with AES sync and BNC word-clock connections for integration into your studio clocking setup. Dedicated left and right ADC insert inputs also allow an external analogue signal to feed the converter.

Shape the mix with your favourite outboard

Mix-bus inserts put external processing into the signal path, while the insert-mix return blend supports parallel processing. Sum-and-difference operation lets you process the centre and sides of the mix separately, and the stereo-width control provides another way to adjust the image.

Monitoring and cue control in one place

Main and alternative speaker outputs, independent monitor and cue levels, headphone connections and onboard talkback make the 8816 useful throughout a session. Two-track return and auxiliary monitoring inputs provide additional listening options without changing your main mix routing.

Recall your setup

USB connectivity supports Neve Recall software for storing and recalling settings. Compatible switching is recalled automatically, while the software guides you back to saved rotary-control positions. Check the current Recall software requirements against your computer and operating system.
