Modal ELEMENT One 37-Key Virtual-Analogue Synthesiser

Modal ELEMENT One puts performance at the centre of its eight-voice virtual-analogue engine. Its 37 full-size keys respond to velocity and channel aftertouch, while a four-axis joystick and four assignable controls let you reshape a patch as you play. From punchy rhythmic parts to warm chords and slowly changing textures, it is designed for hands-on music making.

Start with 300 factory programs, explore compatible COBALT8 sounds, or create your own patches with two oscillator groups, 34 waveform algorithms and 31 filter types. Three envelopes, three audio-rate LFOs and a flexible modulation matrix bring movement to the sound. A programmable arpeggiator and three stereo effects engines help turn a simple idea into a complete performance.

The compact steel and polycarbonate enclosure includes an OLED display, 17 encoders and VESA mounting compatibility. USB-C MIDI, DIN MIDI, analogue clock sync and pedal inputs connect it to a studio or live rig. Free MODALapp and the VST3/AU MODALplugin provide deeper editing and patch management.
