Product overview

McDSP SA-2 Dialog Processor v7 is a dialogue and vocal processor. Improve the balance of speech with five strategically placed bands of active equalisation. SA-2 is based on processing conceived by re-recording mixer Mike Minkler and is equally useful for vocal control, de-essing and tonal adjustment.

Control harshness while following the performance

Shift all five band frequencies together to suit the source, then set the overall processing range without editing each threshold. A monitoring option lets you hear the removed signal as you judge how much correction is appropriate.

Compatibility and licence

Choose the edition for your workflow. Native supports AAX Native, AU and VST3. HD includes those formats and adds AAX DSP support for compatible Pro Tools hardware. Both editions run on macOS and Windows and are supplied as digital software licences.

An iLok account is required. Two activations are provided, with iLok 2/3 USB and iLok Cloud options; current v7 installers also support machine-based activation. Use version 7.3.0 or later for machine activation.
