Product overview

McDSP NR800 Noise Reduction Processor v7 is a noise-reduction processor. Clean up dialogue, field recordings and music with eight bands of real-time noise reduction. NR800 is designed for practical work on unwanted background sound, microphone bleed and older recordings, with controls that let you focus the treatment.

Balance reduction across the spectrum

High-pass and low-pass pre-filters address the frequency extremes before the noise-reduction stages. Set the overall range and response, then use the mode and bias options to refine how the processor handles different parts of the signal.

Compatibility and licence

Choose the edition for your workflow. Native supports AAX Native, AU and VST3. HD includes those formats and adds AAX DSP support for compatible Pro Tools hardware. Both editions run on macOS and Windows and are supplied as digital software licences.

An iLok account is required. Two activations are provided, with iLok 2/3 USB and iLok Cloud options; current v7 installers also support machine-based activation. Use version 7.3.0 or later for machine activation.
