Product overview

McDSP ML8000 Advanced Limiter v7 is a mastering limiter. Manage peaks through two separate processing stages with ML8000. Its multiband and final limiting approach is designed for controlled output levels on mixes and buses, with clear metering to help balance loudness and dynamics.

Set the response around the signal

The Snap function places multiband thresholds against the incoming levels as a starting point. Refine the result with knee, mode and release controls, using the visual feedback to judge how each adjustment affects the material.

Compatibility and licence

Choose the edition for your workflow. Native supports AAX Native, AU and VST3. HD includes those formats and adds AAX DSP support for compatible Pro Tools hardware. Both editions run on macOS and Windows and are supplied as digital software licences.

An iLok account is required. Two activations are provided, with iLok 2/3 USB and iLok Cloud options; current v7 installers also support machine-based activation. Use version 7.3.0 or later for machine activation.
