Product overview

McDSP ML4000 Mastering Limiter v7 is a limiter and multiband dynamics suite. Prepare and limit audio with two complementary processors. ML1 provides mastering limiting, while ML4 places multiband gating, expansion and compression ahead of the limiter for more detailed control of a track or mix.

Balance the signal before limiting

Adjust crossover regions and band dynamics to address uneven energy before it reaches the final peak stage. Knee, release and mode controls change the limiter’s behaviour, with metering to help you follow the combined processing.

Compatibility and licence

Choose the edition for your workflow. Native supports AAX Native, AU and VST3. HD includes those formats and adds AAX DSP support for compatible Pro Tools hardware. Both editions run on macOS and Windows and are supplied as digital software licences.

An iLok account is required. Two activations are provided, with iLok 2/3 USB and iLok Cloud options; current v7 installers also support machine-based activation. Use version 7.3.0 or later for machine activation.
