The Lauten Audio LS-308 is a side-address condenser microphone built for recording a source in close proximity to other loud sounds. Its second-order cardioid design provides strong off-axis rejection, making it useful on drums, amplifiers and instruments in a live room.

A transformer-balanced JFET signal path combines high sound-pressure handling with independent low- and high-frequency filters. The mounting arrangement supports precise positioning, so you can take advantage of the rejection pattern and shape the recorded tone at the microphone.
