Product overview

The Harrison Audio Flex-10 brings the recording character of Harrison's classic consoles to a desktop USB-C audio interface. Two Harrison mic preamps, switchable H-DRIVE transformer saturation and analogue high-pass and low-pass filters let you shape the sound as you record. With 32-bit / 192 kHz conversion, up to 10 inputs and 12 outputs including ADAT, and hands-on monitoring controls, it combines an analogue recording front end with the connections needed for a modern studio.

Shape the sound at the source

Each of the two analogue input channels accommodates microphone, line or instrument sources. Rear-panel XLR microphone and balanced line connections keep your studio wiring accessible, while the two front-panel Hi-Z inputs make it easy to plug in a guitar or bass. H-DRIVE adds transformer saturation when you want more colour, giving you a way to move from clean recording to a more driven sound without reaching for a plug-in.

The high-pass and low-pass filters draw on Harrison's 32 Series console designs. Use them to control unwanted low frequencies, soften the top end or give an instrument a more focused place in the arrangement before it reaches your DAW.

Bring your outboard into the recording path

A dedicated balanced insert on each input channel provides a connection for external processing. Patch in a compressor, equaliser or other outboard processor and build a recording chain around the equipment you already use.

Hands-on monitoring for you and your collaborator

Main and alternate stereo monitor outputs have dedicated level controls, while two headphone outputs provide separate listening level adjustment. A direct-monitoring blend control lets you balance the incoming performance with playback from your computer. Two analogue VU meters, alongside LED level metering, keep levels visible from the desktop.

Expand your setup with ADAT and MIDI

Optical ADAT input and output provide up to eight additional digital channels in each direction for compatible external equipment. MIDI input and output use 3.5 mm TRS connectors for connection to compatible instruments and controllers. The interface supports class-compliant operation on macOS, with a dedicated ASIO driver available for Windows.

Harrison software included

Flex-10 includes a full licence for Harrison Mixbus 12 and the Harrison Creator Pack. Together, they provide an analogue-console-inspired DAW plus a collection of instruments, plug-ins, loops and samples to support recording, production and mixing.
