The original inspiration

An uncommon microphone. A compelling sound.

The original Siemens SM204/23 is a rare find. FLEA brings its distinctive design into a newly built microphone, with close attention to the capsule, circuit, transformer and mechanical construction.

Expect a rich midrange, smooth high frequencies and a controlled low end, with the detail to follow the quieter moments of a performance. For a lead vocal, spoken word or an acoustic instrument, it offers a character worth building a recording around.

01 / CAPSULE

FLEA CK12

FLEA’s recreation of the classic CK12 capsule forms the acoustic heart of the microphone, capturing the nuances that give a performance its personality.

02 / VALVE

EH6072A

The standard EH6072A valve works within a self-biasing circuit designed to provide headroom for loud, dynamic performances.

03 / TRANSFORMER

V2545 replica

Carefully recreated construction and materials preserve a defining ingredient of the original microphone’s tonal depth and harmonic character.
