Product overview

A compact analogue monosynth with deep modulation, stereo effects and an onboard sequencer.

Build the sound from two oscillators

Typhon combines two analogue VCOs with a four-pole low-pass filter. Tune the oscillators for solid bass, a focused lead or more complex intervals, then use the filter to establish the sound’s movement and emphasis. Its monophonic architecture keeps the instrument centred on a single expressive voice.

Animate the patch

Three modulation generators provide ways to move the sound beyond a static oscillator-and-filter setting. The 32-step sequencer can turn an initial patch into a repeating musical idea, useful for writing without immediately opening a piano-roll editor. MIDI input and output integrate those ideas with the rest of a hardware or computer-based setup.

A stereo effects environment

Sinevibes effects expand the analogue core into a wider production sound, with stereo outputs to carry the result to your mixer or interface. An external audio input also lets suitable outside signals make use of the instrument’s processing possibilities. The combination encourages both conventional synth programming and more exploratory sound design.

Save the sounds that work

With 256 preset locations, Typhon can hold a collection of basses, leads, sequences and experimental textures ready for the next session. Its compact format is useful beside a controller or in a live electronic setup. A USB 5 V, 1 A power source is required; a mains adapter is not included.
