Built around broad Baxandall shelves, the BAX500 is designed for engineers who want to enhance tone in a way that feels natural, expensive, and finished — never forced or over-processed.

Unlike narrow, surgical equalisers, the BAX500 works across several octaves at once. Small adjustments produce confidently audible results: an open, effortless top end, a solid and authoritative low end, and a sense of depth and polish that immediately elevates sources. This makes it exceptionally fast to work with, whether you’re tracking vocals, shaping instruments, or sweetening buses.

High Cut and Low Cut filters are included to remove infrasonic rumble and ultrasonic artefacts before they steal headroom or compromise dynamics further down the chain. With gentle 12 dB-per-octave slopes and a restrained ±5 dB gain range, every decision stays musical and controlled.

The signal path is fully DC-coupled up to the Low Cut filter, avoiding transformers and electrolytic capacitors to preserve phase accuracy, clarity, and low-frequency integrity. Relay-controlled hard-wired bypass allows true A/B comparisons, completely removing the circuit from the signal path when disengaged.
