The Cranborne Audio Brick Lane MC4 brings four channels of PWM compression and gating into a 2U rack processor. Its audio path stays analogue, while digital control makes settings recallable.

Six compression characters

  • Velvet: valve-inspired warmth.
  • Float: gentle, opto-inspired movement.
  • Smash: assertive, FET-style punch.
  • Tame: fast transient control.
  • Glue: mix-bus cohesion.
  • Polish: limiting with analogue lookahead.

Shape the tone and routing

STRESS adds mode-dependent harmonics; ENIGMA adjusts deeper compressor behaviour. Mono, stereo and mid/side operation sit alongside series, dual-band and de-essing configurations. Four external sidechain inputs and balanced inserts support more elaborate signal chains.

Hands-on control and DAW integration

A 5-inch colour screen and illuminated encoders show settings locally. The included control plug-in provides recall over USB or Ethernet. These connections carry control; audio uses the analogue connections.
