Product overview

The Burl BC5000 Bigfoot is a 500 Series optical compressor with a discrete Class-A signal path and an additional fast FET limiter. It is designed to provide smooth programme-dependent gain reduction while retaining the option of quicker peak control for drums, vocals and other transient sources.

Switchable input and output transformers, sidechain filtering, de-essing and high-frequency boost provide useful tonal control around the compression stage, with stereo linking available for paired operation.
