Product overview

The Burl B1D is a 500 Series microphone preamplifier and DI with a discrete Class-A, direct-coupled signal path. Its BX3 input transformer and BX4 iron output transformer provide separate Gain and Level controls, allowing transformer drive to be increased without forcing the final output level.

Selectable input impedance, a front-panel instrument input and a 30 dB pad make it useful with condenser, dynamic and ribbon microphones as well as line-level and instrument sources.
