Connect without reaching behind the rack

PBR XLR gives you 16 front-panel patch points, with 12 female and four male connectors on the front and 32 XLR connections in total. It brings rear-connected equipment into an accessible position for recording sessions, temporary setups and changes to an outboard chain.

A useful connection point for the studio

The mix of connector genders provides practical access to different signal directions. Assign each front connection to the equipment or fixed wiring behind it, then label it clearly. This helps keep microphone and line connections organised and makes it easier to identify where a signal enters or leaves the system.

Straightforward signal access

Gold-plated contacts and a rack-mount format make the panel suitable for permanent installation. It does not add gain or process the signal; its purpose is to make existing connections easier to use. Choose cables that match the signal level and equipment involved, and manage phantom power appropriately when connecting or disconnecting microphones. A well-planned front connection panel can reduce disruption when a session requires a different microphone, preamp or destination.
