Keep the useful connections at the front

PBR TRS offers 48 front-panel patch points and 96 TRS sockets overall. Rear connections can stay wired to your interface, outboard processors and other suitable line-level equipment, while short front-panel patch leads determine the chain used for a session. It is a practical way to make a small or medium-sized rack easier to work with.

Normalled or half-normalled operation

Rear-panel routing switches let you establish the default behaviour of the connection pairs. Normalled paths are useful for equipment that usually works together; half-normalled arrangements can provide access to a signal while maintaining its usual route where the patching configuration permits. Plan the routing around your most common recording and mixing tasks.

A tidy foundation for outboard

Gold-plated contacts, balanced TRS connections and a 1U chassis suit a permanent studio installation. A clear label for every input and output saves time when adding a compressor, swapping a converter channel or checking a connection. Use the patchbay as the central map of your analogue system, with suitable balanced cables and a documented normal routing scheme.
