The BAE 500C is a FET compressor for the 500 Series format, based on the fast, assertive behaviour associated with classic studio FET designs. It can control peaks quickly while adding density and harmonic character to drums, bass, vocals and room microphones.
Four ratio choices, variable attack and release, and a sidechain high-pass filter provide enough range for both corrective dynamics work and deliberate compression effects.
