Product overview

The API 565 is a compact filter set for removing rumble, hiss and unwanted bandwidth before recording or within a mix. Independent high-pass and low-pass filters provide stepped frequency choices and variable slope, with the familiar headroom and output character of API’s discrete 500 Series circuitry.

The controls are laid out for fast, repeatable tonal decisions during tracking or mixing, with enough range for both subtle balance changes and more deliberate shaping. This is a B-stock unit; it has been checked for correct operation and may show minor cosmetic signs or non-standard packaging.
