The API 529 is a 500 Series stereo compressor based on the 2500 bus compressor. It brings API’s switchable feedback/feed-forward topology, THRUST side-chain filtering and parallel blend control to a compact format for mix buses, drum groups and stereo instruments.

It can be used for controlled level management or more audible movement and character, depending on the source and chosen settings.
