Product overview

The AEA R92 is a near-field ribbon microphone designed to bring the source closer without excessive proximity bass. Its front and rear sides have deliberately different tonal balances, providing two useful voicings for guitar and bass cabinets, vocals, drums and other close-miked instruments.

Its ribbon transducer is intended to capture transients and upper frequencies smoothly, making it a useful alternative to condenser microphones on sources that can otherwise become hard or overly bright.
